| I do wonder why Lowe and
Wilde have all of a sudden come out of the closet with this fake
alliance as everyone knows the two do not exactly see eye to eye.
Is it because they face to lose their precious share money if it
all goes to the wall ? Umm i think ive hit the nail on the head.
Micheal Wilde has no credibility in Southampton and will quit im
sure under pressure from his current actions. Football fans never
forget a traitor and thats exactly what Wilde has become.

I think the right word to use would be 'disillusioned'
when i talk about Saints. Even before the club was relegated i was
losing interest because of those in the boardroom who have sold this
club down the river. Im talking about people like Guy Askham and
Mike Richard who claim they are fans !

I have little faith in the current board it's
as simple as that. Since Lowe was ousted the club has lurched from
one disaster to another.
Whatever people think of Lowe, he will be prepared to make tough
and unpopular decisions and stand by them, even if it means he
suffers personal abuse as a result.
I still need to be convinced that Wilde's return is good for the
club however, because he surely must have realised that he didn't
have the financial clout to take this club forward when he took
over and the promises he made turned out to be empty ones, and
I have seen nothing in the way of any statement which helps me
to understand his about turn, or his current thinking beyond knowing
that Lowe and Wilde both know the club is perilously close to administration
and wish to avoid it. It might have been better for him to leave
well alone in the first place, who knows where we would be. If
it means financial prudence to get the club back on track then
the Lowe and Wilde partnership has to be the right one for me.

| I have given up debating
about these three stooges, RL,MW, & LC. So I'll cut to the point.
Perm any two from 3, at any given time. Because, until the money
runs out and the club enters administration OR any
permutation of those 3 find investment, that's all we are going to
get. A rabble, fighting for the highest point above water on the Titanic. And that sums it up for me mate.

Southampton FC, like any other football club is a business which should have 2 key aims, regardless of what division it is in
>... Make money to stay in business
>.... Win as many matches as possible
Both aims are mutually supportive and their achievement will please
all those who invest in the business - fans, employees, volunteers
and investors. This Battle of the Boardroom egos is like children fighting
over a train-set: everyone gets hurt, no-one wins and the trains are
left broken and neglected - nobody gets to play with them. Since
when do headlines about Chairmen and Operations Directors, Board
Members and Investors have anything to do about winning matches
on a Saturday afternoon. They are all treating SFC like their
personal train-set. Where
are the headlines about goal-scorers; speeding wingers; athletic
goalkeepers and mid-field magicians ? That's
what I want to know about my football team. All these squabbling
spoilt children should ask themselves "how
they can contribute to making that happen" ! When
we put the 'way the Team plays' back
at the top of the Agenda, Saints
will stay in business and start winning more matches. Then
the ego-monkeys can all fade back into
obscurity, take up their responsibilities in serving this business
and the stake-holders (most of which are the fans and residents
of Southampton).
I would like to know that there are grey men in grey suits
supporting this club, but I don't want to see them !

I don't think that anything will change
as long as Lowe is involved with the club, and I'm sure that he has
put off some of the potential investors, Wilde is just spineless.
I cannot believe that he has now joined forces with the man he was
supposed to save us from. For me the only honest one there is Crouch
who does seem to love the club but he cannot seem to attract
the investors we desperately need, or is this something to do with
Mr lowe? Lets just hope that the ducks learn to shoot back !!!

I was there in 76. When I think of the teams we've put out since
then, compared with now, I could weep. Who's to blame? Lowe, Wilde,
Crouch? Does it really matter? What REALLY
matters is what happens next. Obviously, none of the above are
going to be our salvation. What we desperately need is loads
and loads of money pumped in, because we all know that without that
we aint gonna survive. Other clubs have managed to find the necessary
finances, so is there any body out there with a hundred million or
so???
It is as simple as that.

As a season ticket holder since the move to St. Mary's
I won't be renewing next season if Lowe comes back. I will still
support the team (God help me) by paying on the gate rather than
give Rupert a lump of my hard earned cash to put straight into his
back pocket and those of his cronies. Yes Lowe played a big role
in getting us to St. Mary's, but equally a massive role in getting
us relegated and into our current position. He is not coming back
out of love for the club, purely his wallet and his ego (don't
get in the media much when you're just plain old chief exec of a
medium-sized building company eh Rup?).
As for Wilde ... his behaviour defies belief. He should be thoroughly
ashamed of himself.
